The Project Management Information System (PMIS) course introduces participants to system tools and techniques used in project management to deliver information. It will elaborate to Project Managers the use of techniques and tools to collect, combine and distribute information through electronic and manual means. The course will show how the PMIS is used by upper and lower management to communicate with each other. It will show how the PMIS helps plan, execute and close project management goals. It will further explain how the PMIS is used to compare baseline with the actual accomplishment of each project activity, manage materials, collect financial data, and keep a record for reporting purposes. The course will also elaborate how PMIS are helpful in project closure by showing how they are used to review project goals to check if the tasks were accomplished.
